A circular economy for a round world

From April 29 to May 4, Confédération Centre is promoting new ideas for recycling our old objects and clothes. To mark the occasion, the NOOPS association will be organizing workshops to raise awareness of the upcycling trend, on Wednesday May 1 from 4pm to 6pm and Saturday May 4 from 3pm to 5pm. You’ll be able to familiarize yourself with all the avenues we can all explore to consume more sustainably.

Make bargains with your old stuff.

Throwing things away isn’t inevitable. You can also give, repair, transform, exchange and customize things to give them new life. On site, you can take part in a big collection of your old cell phones and tablets with a box specially set up at Etam. In the same boutique, you’ll also be entitled to a 10% discount on the purchase of a new bra by returning an old one, whatever the brand. Similar initiatives offer you special discounts on your purchases by bringing in your old clothes at SEP or Caroll. Again at SEP, a seamstress will be on hand to apply hand-embroidered patches by their Jordanian craftswomen to your holey jeans or slightly worn-out jackets. So take a good look, there’s a treasure hidden deep in your wardrobes!

A competition to make you more creative

Upcycling is all about bringing things back to life by transforming them with your own hands and a healthy dose of creativity. It’s not only good for you, it’s also good for the objects you’re going to get your hands on. To help you do this, Flying Tiger and Sostrene Grene are offering you the chance to win sewing supplies and equipment throughout this period. To enter the draw, simply register on the dedicated page of our website. (sorry competition over)
